There are two types of experts:
- Those whose expertise is founded in the research they conduct on the topic/area/group (the best of whom, and their works, can be found at the bottom of the Boomer Basics page)
- Those who compile/study/contextualize the research and writings on a topic/area/group
Terri Benincasa, M.A., Ed.M.
Terri holds a double Masters in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University & has decades of experience with the practical use of the psychological tenets/applications she learned, has over 20 years experience in organizational & operations management & consulting to companies and non-profits on both coasts, and decades of experience as a stage/commercial actress starting with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts & Communications. Combined, these give her a broad spectrum of experience, a keen ability to gather, critically assess, and clarify large amounts of varied information, and the self-confidence/poise to present her findings to folks of all of ages, at all socio-economic levels, or of any race/ethnicity or orientation.
Terri's expertise in "all things Boomer" is a result of 14 years (and counting) studying the trends, characteristics, and needs of this huge and diverse generation, the most influential in US history. A proud Boomer herself, Terri sees the greatness and powerful impact her generation wields, yet understands that her fellow Boomers don't always recognize and utilize it well as they did in their youth. Her mission is to help others fully understand her generation, and help her generation leave a legacy of which future generations will be thankful and proud.
Terri is currently the Creator & Host of Boomer Nation! broadcast radio show, heard nationally, airing out of Tampa, FL on WGUL & WLSS AM, part of Salem Communications.
Terri is authoring her first book, Is That My Light at the End of the Tunnel?, that takes a humorous but critical look at Baby Boomers - how we started out so right, went so wrong, and what we can do to fix it. She has been seen in Tampa Bay on NBC affiliate's "The Daytime Show", as the host of "What Works!" on PAX-TV, and in commercials for well known product entities.
